The delta band, and what falls outside itحزامُ الفوارق، وما يقع خارجَه

Every dated pairing this project makes, plotted by the gap in years between the sixth-century event and its canonical face. The shaded zone is the band the caliphal layer produced, seventy-seven to a hundred and ten years. The honest caveat, and it is a real one. A cluster inside a band is not by itself evidence. The donors were drawn from a pool running roughly 523 to 609, and the recipients from roughly 624 to 687; any pairing between two windows of those widths will mechanically produce gaps in a range of about this width. So the band cannot be read as a discovery on its own. What the chart is actually for is narrower and checkable: whether the rank order holds, whether the pairings were fixed before their deltas were measured, and where the method fails. Three pairings fall outside the band and are drawn in red rather than quietly dropped. التحفُّظُ الأمين، وهو حقيقيٌّ لا مجاملة. تجمُّعُ النقاطِ داخلَ حزامٍ ليس دليلاً بذاته. فالمانحونَ مأخوذونَ من مجالٍ يمتدّ نحوَ ٥٢٣ إلى ٦٠٩، والمتلقّونَ من نحوِ ٦٢٤ إلى ٦٨٧؛ وأيُّ اقترانٍ بين نافذتَينِ بهذا الاتّساعِ يُنتج آليّاً فوارقَ في مدىً قريبٍ من هذا. فلا يجوز أن يُقرأ الحزامُ وحدَه اكتشافاً. والذي يصلح له المخطَّطُ أضيقُ وأقبلُ للفحص: هل يَثبت ترتيبُ الرُّتَب، وهل عُقدت الأزواجُ قبلَ قياسِ فوارقِها، وأين يفشل المنهج. وثلاثةُ أزواجٍ تقع خارجَ الحزام، ورُسمت بالأحمرِ ولم تُطرَح بصمت.

What the outliers sayماذا تقول الشواذّ

Abū Bakr at 23 is not a century-shift at all and the project does not treat it as one; it is an eldership read onto a confederation. Yawm Ḥalīma against Uhud at 71 sits below the band, which is precisely why Callinicum 531 replaced it as Uhud's spine and Ḥalīma was re-labelled a doublet. Ḥudaybiyya against the Fifty-Year Peace at 67 is a treaty-template, never claimed as a date-shift. أبو بكرٍ عند ٢٣ ليس إزاحةَ قرنٍ أصلاً ولا يعامله المشروعُ كذلك؛ إنّما هي مشيخةٌ تُقرأ على اتّحادٍ قبليّ. ويومُ حليمةَ مقابلَ أُحدٍ عند ٧١ يقع دونَ الحزام، ولهذا بالضبط حلّت كالينيكوم ٥٣١ محلَّه عموداً لأُحد وأُعيد وسمُ حليمةَ توأمةً. والحديبيةُ مقابلَ صلحِ الخمسينَ عند ٦٧ قالبُ معاهدةٍ لم يُدَّعَ قطُّ إزاحةَ تاريخ.

And what argues against all of itوما يُحاجّ ضدَّ هذا كلِّه

A receipt dated year 22, a chronicle dating a battle to Friday 4 February 634, and a Syriac flyleaf written in the first person about 637. Those three documents are the hardest constraint on any hundred-year reading, and they are carried in the atlas as a layer that cannot be switched off. إيصالٌ مؤرَّخٌ سنةَ ٢٢، وحوليّةٌ تؤرِّخ معركةً بيومِ الجمعةِ ٤ شباط ٦٣٤، وحاشيةٌ سريانيّةٌ بصيغةِ المتكلّمِ نحوَ ٦٣٧. وهذه الوثائقُ الثلاثُ أشدُّ ما يضيّق على أيِّ قراءةِ مئةِ سنة، وهي محمولةٌ في الأطلسِ طبقةً لا يمكن إطفاؤها.
